Miss Scrambled Eggs is right about what a raw vegan is. As for the gourmet designation, I believe that's about the same as any other form of gourmet. Rather than eating "plain" food, the gourmet vegan makes a bit of a production out of their meals, making raw vegan forms of ravioli, meatloaf, bread, etc.

The words "gourmet" and "vegan" can't be put in the same sentence. If you check your Michelin Guide, you will find no vegan restaurants with three stars.

but a raw vegan is somebody who does not eat anything from an animal. they also eat everything in its living state, which means nothing is cooked.

they eat things from sources like fruits, veggies, raw nuts, raw grains, and sprouts.
