I also have a hotmail account and when I log on I am now asked to accept (or not) the certificate for graphics hotmail.com. Has anyone seen this before - and is it OK to accept?

Any details or guidance would be appreciated - thanks.

  1. Hello,

I to have seen this graphics.hotmail. The certificate is not showing much information and just because it says microsoft does not mean to say it is! Especially as Microsoft lost the use to be able to use hotmail as a domain name by forgetting to pay the renewal. Google this for more info! Not that this, really has much to do with that. But it does make me a little more wary.

I found after declining this, (the third option) twice, the third time I logged on the message did not appear and I was allowed to log on without any problems. I definitely wouldn't trust this not even on a temp session.

Appears to be very little information on it when googled and nothing appearing on microsft/Windows Live site.

    Hope this helps,

  2. I haven't seen it personally. I would suggest before allowing it that you contact Hotmail support and ask them about it. Sounds to me like a third party product is asking you to install it, which could be dangerous if it has malware embedded in the code.

Go to the Windows Live Support page below and select Windows Live Hotmail and ask them about it.

You may also want to take a screenshot in case they ask for it.
