What is growth spurt????

Question

what the heck is growth spurt????? i've been hearing about it always........... can you tell if i had one already? okay

details:

i think i haven't had mine yet

i barely have body hair esp the face

im 14 tuning 15 and 5 8 in height

no voice change

no facial hair developing yet

so what ya say guys?

Well basically i guess it happens around the same time as puberty. Its a point of time when you grow a lot. Like if within a year you noticed that you actually grew quite a lot, you probably had your growth spurt.

When people say Growth Spurt they are refering to the bodies of kids and teens. On average people noramlly grow slowly but boys in particualr have been know to hit growth spurts where it seems that they grow taller or larger over night. One year hes 5'4" the next hes 5'8" or so...You are rather tall for your age. And if you dont grow taller then at least you have already made it to average height. Growth Spurt: Growing Quickly Over A Short Amount of Time. They can also cause growing pains from the bones shifting and growing

A growth spurt is when you grow taller but much faster.  I think it's 4 inches in a year is considered a growth spurt.  But my friend grew 7 inches in 3 months during his growth spurt last summer.

You are a little late with the puberty part.  But that's ok.  Everyone is different.
