Traditionally, guacamole is served on or with fried tortillas. Hand rolled and formed, these tortillas are crisped through frying on top of a wood fired type grill or even open fire. For the sake of convienence tortlla chips are made and sold in stores. But, the romantic element of hand tossing the flour or corn tortillas is lost and the woodfire flavor is gone.
