What is gum sergury like?

i a due to get gum sergury at the end of august.... and i want to know what happens before, during, after, and what you cant eat afterward. EVERYTHING, no crappy answers please!

I had a gum graft/surgery  a few years ago and it was not as bad as everybody makes it sound! If your doctor is ok with it then take an iPod or cd player to listen to so you can relax. That's about all I did while it was happening but I'm not sure what kind of surgery you are getting. You will want to bring some tylenol or some other pain reliever and take it right after you get finished(after you double check with your doctor) I mostly ate these things made by equate which are like supplement drinks that are actually really good. I also ate ice-cream, pudding, apple sauce, and then whenever you are comfortable you can start to eat harder food. Comfort wise, talking might feel a little wierd for awhile so I would get a heat pad and an ice pack a couple of your favourite movies and a friend, sit on the couch and watch the movie while you alternate using the ice pack and heat pad. If you just realax it helps a lot! I was like 12 when I had it and I was FREAKING out and then when it was over I was like "that was it?!" so yup! Just chill out a few hours before and you'll be fine! Hope this helped and wasn't "crappy"!
