What is halfway up the rim of your ear cartilage called?

I want to get my cartilage pierced but i have a few questions.

1) what is that part of your ear called?

2) can you get more than one right by each other during the same piercing session without damaging the cartilage?

  1. Generally any piercing on the rim of the cartilage is called a helix

    It depends on how close they are and if the jewelery can accommodate that but no decent piercer will do more than 2 in one session, it puts way too much stress on your body


  2. i don't think it really has a name. It's just halfway up your cartilage. the helix refers to all of the outer rim cartilage.

    As long as you go to a professional piercer that uses a NEEDLE and not a gun, you can get multiple cartilage piercings at once.

  3. I have my ears pierced there on both sides, and I'm not sure it has a name...? And you sure can get more than one done right beside each other at the same time. I've done it a few times now, and mine are fine! I have multiple piercings in my ears, and i've always done it with the gun, and my ears are fine.
