What is handball? Please answer!!?

I want to know what it is, how its played, what equipment is needed...?

Also where can I play in MA?

I live in Australia so I may give you the wrong advice but I will tell you all I know about handball, except if you want to know the rules of my version ask another question.

Handball is a sport played with 2 or more people on a cement, wood or any hard floor surface. It requires deviding of the floor by a line [crack in the floor, rope etc.] for how ever many players there is going to be [i.e. 4 players - 4 segments needed]. This is the main requirement.

You need a ball that bounces well [preferably a tennis ball] in order to get the game going. The game consists of the players hitting a ball to each other and trying to get each other out by many various ways.

The basic rules of handball are the following:

- The ball must hit your square before anyone elses, otherwise, you are out of the game.

- The ball must stay inside the squares at all time, if it leaves, you are out of the game [the last person that touched it].

- You need to work your way upto "Ace" - the highest square.

Sorry that's pretty much all I can help you with.

Down here in Australia, when people talk about using a raquet and wall, they are talking about the game called "Squash". And if it's just lke what I described but against the wall, we called it "Wall war".

It's considered a hobbies but we trying 2 make it a sport...all handball player's in New York City...there's a few of us who are going national with this hobbie and it's working lil by lil....well u need 2 see some videos so u know...go 2 www.youtube.com and search for street handball....u will see how good it is and I have played this 4 about 10year's now and it keeps me healthy and active...u should try it.....Ur from MA? Sorry not so good with other states...u mean Boston Ma? Well where ever u are u can find a Indoor handball..if there's a YMCA or any collage may have it....search in google.com good luck and hope u like it....u don't really need equipment..only if u join tournament with small ball...it's like big blue handball but smaller and faster and harder..4that u need gloves and for big ball u need nothing only if u want.You can play singles or doubles...wat ever u play is played the same...it's like tennis and pinpon...but different in scoreing...and also there's no net in handball just one wall...well u serve 2 me and if I miss the ball or hit it out its ur point and we choose wat we are playing up 2....ur still serving and if u hit out or miss the ball I go up and serve the same goes 4me and on and on....well have fun u mite see me in some videos in youtube.com..see ya :o)

handball is a game u play with a raquet ball(a small rubber ball) you hit it with your hand against the wall untill sum1 misses or fouls. for equipment i would recomend geting a biker glove or any glove with padding at the palms. i recomend the ones  cut off at the knuckle. best answer plz. hope i helped
