  1. I would avoid all the automakers for the time being.

In fact, I'd avoid all the banks as well.

There are few good investments in this horrible economic environment right now.

  2. Don't think the Fed Gov't will let them go bankrupt.  I have some bonds in both companies, but would not hold common stock

  3. Ford wont crash, they're working on alternative fuels and other stuff.

GM will probably crash, they lost nearly 40 billion dollars when gas prices were at 2.50,

investments i'd say ford, chevy, VW

  4. I would stay as far away from ANY company that uses union scum labor. Delphi (GM spinoff parts maker) union scum labor destroyed that company. I lost every dime I had invested in their stock. The company declared BK back in 2005 because the unions were being paid 5 times as much as the rest of the parts makers in the US. GM is in the same boat as thier spinoff Delphi. Im still writting off the losses on Delphi and will be doing so for some time to come. Stay out of these companies if you dont want to loose your investments. The unions are out to destroy the investors of these companies. Its to bad that they arent subject to the same losses as the real working man in this country.

  5. Going to crash?  Where have you been keeping yourself?  These two companies are on terminal life support.  Miracles sometimes can happen especially with a government ready to bale out every mismanaged large cap disaster.

  6. They all have a lot of overhead, massive employee obligations and are getting their clocks cleaned from foreign competitors. They are burning cash and don't have much coming in.

    Could they turn around?  Maybe.

Ford is in the best position to make it, but I wouldn't be buying here.

Chrysler looks to head in the same direction as the Edsel.

    Good luck.
