But the last few loads I have done, panties and socks come out TORN APART!! What is happening? Holes in them...and some are just shredded! They did not go in that way... please help!

  1. Chances are more than likely it is not the laundry soap or softener that you are using but that perhaps your clothes are getting stuck on something during the spin cycle. Only bleach that has been pored on clothing and left there could be another cause for the wholes so I would firmly believe that it is the washer itself. You may need to have a repairman come out and check it.

  2. They might have caught on something in the washer or dryer and gotten snagged and ripped apart.

  3. Check the machines you are using.  Maybe one of them has some snags in the metal drum, or since you say the smaller stuff is getting torn, maybe its getting stuck in between the drum and outside of the drum (don't know the terms).

  4. Make the habit of placing your delicates in a nylon mesh laundry bag, also called "lingerie bags" before putting them in the washing machine. That can happen even if they get caught in the zipper of any other piece of clothing.  The bag will protect them....

  5. I think it spin cycle your setting at is to fast

Try a slower cycle like Gentle

  6. Always button and zipper your jeans. Maybe you should put your panties and socks in a zipper laundry bag to prevent them from tearing. I know my panties come out with the elastic stretched and torn sometimes. You might want to wash undergarments separately on the gentle cycle. It's possible that one of your other clothing items is making it snag every time it passes next to it. So check your pockets, zippers, decals, designs, buttons, etc. Something is doing this.. if not, it's your washing machine. IT can be getting caught around the bottom of the load and tearing when it passes by the bottom of the white thing in the middle. Good luck!

  7. Check for a s***w or nail or something sharp in the washer or dryer.
