Question:

What is happening to this country?

We are allowing this whole country to be redefined from what the Constitution of the United States of America says it is supposed to be.

We have the Supreme Court trying to make decisions that citizens are no longer allowed to protect themselves by having guns.

Its getting out of hand!

  1. Actually..., I think you have it wrong. The Supreme Court struck down the ban on hand guns in D.C.

The Supreme Court is also part of our Constitution. It is one of the three branches of Government. It is responsible to assure the other two branches don't make laws that go against the constitution.

The Supreme Court does not go against the constitution, it is the most powerful check and balance we have to protect it.

  2. What we have is a Supreme Court that upheld the right to bear arms...Democracy is an open dialogue - we're doomed if it becomes tethered to a static, vestigial document. In fact, will stop being a Democracy altogether. The constant rehashing of what our Constitution represents and means is essential to keeping our country and it's people vital.  You should be kicking your heels and celebrating that, despite all the attacks from various political factions, the darn thing is still working pretty well!

  3. I agree, things are getting a tad out of hand, hopefully america will make the right decision for president this upcoming election and we could begin to fix things like th@......actually, i do think th@ you shouldnt be able to have a gun just to protect yourself, wen you need to protect yourself, you have things other than th@ to use to protect yourself..... but i still think th US needs to be patched up quite a bit

  4. Oh, for God's sake, give it a rest. The country will be 'out of hand' when a barely literate redneck gets us into a war...oh wait...

Anyway, I've no beef over at least thinking about more limits on gun ownership, after what happened at Virginia Tech. That psycho shooter was legally licensed to carry, fire and conceal his weaponry...and he used said rights to kill innocent kids. There needs to be more limits...

  5. I fully agree with you!

We need a revolution, check this out...

On July 4, 2008 people who feel our rights are being

taken from us are doing a peaceful protest.

Even if you can't actually show up on the lawn of the White House you can spread the word.

  6. I'm from Texas and the minute they try to take away our right to own a firearm they will have a HUGE problem on their hands

  7. Simple.  You'll notice that there will be more instances where people are shooting up schools and public places so that when they decide to violate the sanctity of constitutional rights we'll agree with it because its for our "safety".

The government has already set in to play a plan for marshal law, where we would (temporarily, according to them) have no rights, we would be given rations and they would entirely control the ebb and flow of the economy.

Some suggest that this is what they're trying to do with raising gas prices to ridiculous highs, so eventually people will riot or fight back against what they're doing to us as a nation, then they can put us on lock down.  Police can just walk into your house and search without "probable cause" and take people who in their opinion are acting like a terrorist.

Look into it, they tried passing a bill that basically could put you into a prison camp for disagreeing with the president or government or even thinking it.  They were using a a facade  for homeland security, the bill that is actually in place to seriously throw the constitution out the window.

So, what happened or is happening to this country is big business is running and does not care what happens unless its making money doing it, so the state of this nation will and continues to degenerate until its like one big prison.

Don't believe me?   Look into it, look up "concentration camps in the US" or bills in play to support homeland security, you'll be disturbed I promise.

  8. It is all good. Never mind that four justices do not care about constitutional intent. Be happy that 5 Supreme Court Justices do not try to reinvent the Constitution.

  9. !!..BUSH IS WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS COUNTRY..!!

  10. It's falling to socialism, greed and stupidity. Obama is the leader of the parade or charade. We have become a nation of PC anti Americans who what a government to take care of us; cradle to grave.

  11. the world is plunged into mass chaos and shall be nearing the apockolpys.  we can only protect are self for the end is near.

but really the world is h**l and is really ****** up.

  12. u r right and we should stop this war

and Obama should be president AND THIS IS BUSH ' S FOULT BLAME  BUSH

  13. It is a good ideal with the gun thing! Also I am tired of people asking this question. Everyone focuses on the bad in this country and no longer sees ALL THE good. that is why the county is so bad now. people are putting the bad in BOLD letters. and making everyone so depressed that they dont want to do anything about it. maybe if we start seeeing the good also it will make people more motivated to change this country back to the way it was!

  14. It's absolute madness and it's scary that 4 of the justices voted against the very thing that the consitution decrees.  God help the United States.  It scares me what will happen when we end up with nothing but liberal justices.  Watch the consitution change then!

  15. If everyone carried a gun, assaults and violent crimes would decrease because people wouldn't eff with other people so much.

  16. Get out and vote if you want change. It's like our votes hired our Gov. And in turn we can fire those that are not doing there job. In my first job at McD's I lost my job because I was not doing the job I was hired to do. They had no problem hiring some one to take my place. Same thing with our Gov. we can vote in new people that can get the job done.

  17. The SCOTUS ruled in favor of the 2nd Amendment, but only by a narrow margin, which is scary.  One of the dissenters wrote that in his view, people in crime-ridden inner cities should not have a right to have handguns in their homes!!  Can you possibly think of someone who would need a handgun more?  This guy is an elitist who is essentially saying that poor, underprivileged people shouldn't have a right to defend themselves b/c they live in a bad area!

Thank God for the narrow majority.  It just goes to show you how scary the prospect of an Obama presidency would be with his own Supreme Court justices in power for life!!  "Constitutional law professor" my a$$!!!!

This one should've been 9-0 in favor of the 2nd Amendment.  The documentation for the past 250 years supports that it is an individual right, as do the words, "the right of the people" that appear in every other amendment on the Bill of Rights the same way they do in the 2nd Amendment.

  18. I know, this is a lot like the prohibition law where nobody could buy or sell beer! Either way, people got access to beer.

Today, good citizens will obey the law, while the bad guys somehow get a hold of weapons whether it's legal or not. This will put the US in more danger because people won't be able to defend themselves! It's better for both the good and bad guy to have the weapons than just the bad guy, right?

  19. If you have a computer y r u wasting your time asking go look it up yourself

  20. BLAME BUSH! YEA BLAME BUSH!

  21. Oh yes, nothing like having a country heavily armed and dangerous.

YOu will be happy to know they are keeping the guns and ammo so no self respecting crook will be with out one.

  22. Read the yahoo headlines for today and you will be happy.

  23. Where did you hear that?  The Supreme Court struck down a ban on handguns that was in place in the District of Columbia.  It was a win for the NRA and gun owners everywhere.
