What is happening with the Croxley Rail Link?

If I do a search under 'Croxley Rail Link', I rarely get information that I haven’t previously seen.

Watford seems like a really happening place at the moment, what with the football team now in the Premiership.

I have told some of my friends and family about the Croxley Rail Link, but there never seems to be any progression with the project.

Most websites will tell you that the plan is for the Metropolitan Line to divert after Croxley, calling at new stations at Ascot Road and Watford West, then calling at Watford High Street and Watford Junction.
