It is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps blood, also known as hypertension has no symptoms but may cause serious problems such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure.

A blood pressure of 120 over 80 is considered as normal and the higher the number like 140 over 90 considers one as having blood pressure.
