Means that all areas of development depend on each other and need to be connected to help a child develop properly:

E.g. If a child has a lisp or a stutter (physical and language dev) and they are teased by others because of it (social dev), they will be unlikely to want to communicate with others because of the bullying (emotional and social dev) and start to lose their self-esteem (emotional dev) and hide away from others, leaving them self-concious about talking and failing to raise their hand or asking for help in class, which will decrease their learning development and all other aspects of development too, as if they shy away from people, they are less likely to become involved in e.g. sports (physical dev) to increase their Motor Skills
