  1. the cost, the number of kids-possibly. I think sometimes the two terms are interchangeable.

  2. In home child care, usually (but not always), the caregiver has children from more than one family coming to their home.  If they have more than a certain number (it varies by state) of kids, they have to be registered with the state and licensed, sort of like a daycare would have to be.  Also, since they are likely to have more children, they are also more likely to plan activities, have a "set" schedule, and specific areas set aside for the children.

  3. I am assuming yiou mean a Home Daycare versus a babysitter. Home daycare is a daycare that someone has in their home.  They have to have a business license and be licensed by the state to care  for children.  They are inspected and have certain rules to follow same as a center and their are several children. Babysitting would be you hired a person, that is not a licensed care provider to watch your child and they may have 1 or 2 other kids. They are not governed by the state and do not have any rules except the ones you set.

  4. babysitting hurts you should never sit on a baby

Child Care is providing the best care for fthe child to thrive in all areas of development - usually the care giver has some experience has  been cpr trained,

  5. Hi, babysitting is having a friend, relative, or teenager watch your child while you go out on the town or run errands. They are probably not educated in early childhood education, and do not have 1st aid card or know CPR.

A home childcare is licensed through the state, they have certain guide lines to follow, have a background check, have 20 hours of early childhood education, know 1st aid and have a current CPR card. Their house is inspected, they are required to have smoke detectors and fire extinguisher's. That is just to name a few things that a childcare care provider must know. And for you the parent just to know that your child is safe and loved while your away at work.

I hope I've helped you with your question.

  6. Home child care is given by someone in their home with other children being watched as well.  After a certain amount of children this person must be licensed, depending on their state.

It is also the term used when you have someone stay in your home on a regular basis to watch your child or children.  They can live there or come at a certain time and leave at a certain time on whatever days you decide to make the routine schedule.  Home Child Care providers usually charge you a set rate by the week that is agreed upon in a contract between you and them, based on the number of children and hours that will be spent watching them and what duties will be expected of the care taker.  The hours will not always be the same every week, example, you have to work late on Wednesday because there was an emergency meeting called at the last minute.  You will not have to pay more because the care taker is staying later like you would a babysitter who is charging by the hour.

Babysitting is done by family, friends, or a teenager when you need an occasional night out.  It is not a set routine and you are charged (if you're charged) by the hour by the number of children being watched.  You pay them when you get home.

  7. Babysitting in my opinion is just a friend or someone that will watch your child, not very reliable, and no certifications.  Home child care is more on a detailed form.  For instance when i did a child care in my home I had to be registered with the state, I had to meet qualifications, had someone come in and check out my house, it was much, much more detailed than just a babysitting job.

  8. To me, babysitting is a term that is used by parents when they want an evening out or a short term term event. Practically anyone can babysit. Teenagers for example can be a temporary babysitter. All they have to do is make sure the kids are okay for awhile.

On the other hand, in home day care is a more structured environment that one would use while they are at work on regular basis. Providers must be licensed.

    Hope that helps.

  9. Home child care is the relieving of illness of the child at home by giving the prescribed medications and performing nursing care to the child at home.   babysitting is watching for an infant when the parrents are not available for the mean time.
