  1. If you mean the verb to host it is 'beherbergen'

hosted past tense  than is 'beherbergt'

  2. (thats kinda host-hosted but anyways:)

    past:

    FIFA World Soccer Championship 2006

    future:

    Aerobic WM 2008

    Lifeguard-WM 2008

    Billard Team-WM 2009 (Triband)

    Athletics 2009

    Eishockey WM 2010

In German we say "GASTIEREN" if an event like that is hosted in a country or if a Show comes to a country.

If someone hosts a TV Show and leads trough the event (like Oprah) its "MODERIEREN"

If someone puts something up (like hosted by NIKE) its: "VERANSTALTEN"

  3. if it's not from 'host' there's no German word for it!

(eg 'Hosted Enviroments  = There is no established German translation for this technical term. Leave untranslated and explain.)
