  1. The amount of water vapor in the air is referred to as humidity. The more water that is in the air there is, the higher we say that the humidity has risen.

i give the simplest link to study it:

  2. The amount of water vapor in the air. Humidity indicates the likelihood of precipitation, dew, or fog. High humidity makes people feel hotter outside in the summer because it reduces the effectiveness of sweating to cool the body by preventing the evaporation of perspiration from the skin.

  3. Humidity is the difference between the actual air temperature and the dew point, which is the indication on how much moisture content is in the air. The closer the two numbers are to each other, the higher the humidity, the further the numbers are, the lower the humidity. To put it simply:

    (1) Commonly used but often misunderstood, it is the ratio (expressed as a percentage) of the amount of water vapor actually in the air to the maximum amount the air can hold at that temperature.

    (2) The percentage of saturation of air; the ratio (expressed as a percentage) of the amount of water vapor actually in the air to the maximum amount the air can hold at that temperature.

    (3) The percentage of saturation of air; the ratio, expressed as a percentage, of the actual amount of water vapor in a given volume of air to the amount that would be present were the air saturated at the same temperature.

    (4) The ratio (expressed as a percentage) of the amount of water vapor actually in the air to the maximum amount the air could hold at that temperature. Because air can hold more water vapor as its temperature rises, relative humidity falls as air warms.

  4. Humidity simply indicates the dampness of air.If air containes moisture,it is said to be humid otherwise it is said to be dry.

But 'Relative Humidity' gives the percentage of moisture in air for a particular temperature.More details follow.

A given sample of moist air contains water vapour in it ,which may either be the maximum possible amount for that temperature or a fraction of the maximum possible amount. This fraction is expressed as a percentage, which the relative humidity refers to.So,relative humidity is the amount of water vapor actually present in the air to the amout of maximum water vapour it can hold( or the amount of water vapour required to saturate it) at that temperature.
