What is impact of cellphone towers on the health of residents living nearby?

My neighbour is letting his terrace area to a cellphone company for erecting tower to recive and generate signals for the telephone link up.

Does it have any health hazard to the people who live nearby? Does it have any effect on our electronic items like T.V, computer, World space receiver etc.?

You are actually getting more dangerous frequency transmissions from your cell than from a tower  because of the proximity of the phone to your head.

These towers have some minor impact of radiation on people nearby. but by health standards they are not harmful. The question is can we accept the health standards as final. They keep learning and changing.

U must have heard of complaints about the hezords of carring cell phones close to body like brain, heart etc.

The out going or radiating power from the tower is certainly higher than that the cell phones generate.

But you keep the cell phone close to ur body! That has certainly more afffect on you.

One respite is that the radiation below the tower is less or minimum than tower top. the beam of radiation is more or les like light from torch.

As the frequencies are diff, we dont need to fear about electronic equipments.

One more thing u can not stop ur neighbour from this as the law will not agree to ur point of view.

The SAR depends on the power density in watts per square meter. The radio frequencies from cellular phone systems travel in a "line of sight." The antennas are designed to radiate energy horizontally so that only small amounts of radio frequencies are directed down to the ground. The greatest exposures are in front of the antenna so that near the base of these towers, exposure is minimal. Further, power density from the transmitter decreases rapidly as it moves away from the antenna. However, it should be noted that by initially walking away from the base, the exposure rises and then decreases again. The initial increase in exposure corresponds to the point where the lobe from the antenna beam intersects the ground.

So its less effective, but its effect.

believe me i know it really well..

just imagine the rays which these mobile phones use to transfer data can penetrate the walls( u can talk on ur phone while in ur room), so what about ur body which is infact several times softer than those walls.

u might notice notice in cities like delhi, u can now hardly see  d bird called sparrow ( or "chidia" in hindi), dis is all due to these radiations. yes u ll surely see them in the area having less mobile towers.

i m telling u this tower can really harm you people in the long run.

and mind u the diseases it cause is not just a simple one, it actually causes several types of skin cancers.

But there is hardly sumthng that u can do. afterall, mobile has become lives of most of us..

Cell phone masts create an invisible smog of electromagnetic waves that many believe is linked to depression, miscarriage and cancer. Maybe if you told your neighbour about this, and showed him some websites (I'm enclosing links), he might change his mind. All the best!!
