  1. It was the sound. You could hear the same from the front row, and the last row on top. They were build on the side of hills and they allowed for the sound to travel better.

  3. They were designed to resonate sound, so all in attendance could clearly hear what was being spoken on stage.

  4. Round or oval and the players were down lower then the people so the sound carried up and because it was round then every one could see also as the person in front of you was lower then you that helped with seeing as well.
