  1. I have a feeling that our very sparse knowledge of space, science and math that really our limits are endless.  However, as far as we know, we can't travel to another galaxy in our lifetime.  We can't travel at the speed of light (Einstein's theory is that we would actually go back in time if we managed to do so...).  So really, we can't reach the ends of the Universe!

  2. The logically impossible is...well...impossible.

For example, it is not possible to find two integers, say "p" and "q", such that the fraction p/q is equal to the square root of 2.

    HTH

    Charles

  3. to touch the infinite

yet we have infinite number of cells on our body as they are infinitelygrowing........

  4. nothing is impossible

quantum physics and the heisenberg principle allow for EVERYTHING.

you could suffocate because all the air in your room suddenly jumped to one half the room, the half your NOT in.

you could dissapear and reappear on the opposite side of the chair you are sitting on and then fall to the floor

these are very VERY unlikely to occur, but NOT impossible

  5. Recently, a japanese / American top scientist (Michio Kaku) created a list of future goals and seperated them into groups; Groups 1, 2 and 3

Group 1 - Will be achieved in the next 50 - 100 years.

Group 2 - Will be achieved, but when is uncertain as its depends on certain things.

    Group 3 - IS IMPOSSIBLE.

    Teleportation - G 2

    Time travel - G 2

Predicting the future - G 3 - IMPOSSIBLE. This is simply becuase telling the future would require the elimination of free will in humankind.

Look his book up, "Physics of the impossible"

    thanks

  6. in my opinion.... Impossible is something that cannot be...even if you manipulate circumstances to allow it to happen.

It is impossible for everything to be possible

  7. Many things are impossible.

For example that this question could be at least a little bit more specific.

Impossible is a paradox, allowing itself to be possible.

So if impossible happens that's a paradox, which is impossible, which is exactly why it's possible.

    That, again, is a paradox.

    You digg?

  8. Impossible is an adjective which is found in all languages of the Indo-European family of languages (includes English, French, Russian...).  It describes the state of not being possible.  It describes something that cannot exist.

That something can be an object, a situation, a concept...

    Some examples:

The coexistence of two things where each one depends on the absence of the other to exist;  e.g., an irresistible force (it will accelerate any mass) and an immovable object (it will not move regardless of the force).

An edge or an end to an infinite object.  Or such a thing as a "highest number" in an infinite field of numbers.

There are things that are very improbable (but not completely impossible).  When such a thing happens, we tend to think of the word "miracle".

  9. according to quantum physics, given enough time, absolutely nothing is impossible

  10. As long as their is life on earth and people keep learning and exploring NOTHIN IS IMPOSSIBLE!!

  11. The lack of any possibility of occurrence.

Such as breathing in a vacuum.
