In the US, Mikes Hard Lemonade and similar beverages are bad beers that have had the beer flavor extracted and then had other flavorings put in. Outside the US, they are made with distilled alcohol and the proper flavorings.

When lemonade is allowed to ferment, it creates alchol. it's more complex than that but that's the quick and dirty answer. There is also hard apple cider which is made the same way. I suppose you could make just about any fruit cider hard if you wanted. Hope this help, chef paul

it is very cheap malt liqours (liek are in 40 ouz bottle but cheaper industryal) and lemon flavors
