  1. That would be a wax comb.

Wax combs are used on surfboards for scraping off old/excess wax and distributing it over the board better. The wax is needed on surfboards so the rider's feet have some traction on the board surface.

I have one of those in my roxy shorts too!

Unless your son is a surfer, then theres not really much use for it. :)

  2. It sounds like a combination wax comb/fin key. The plastic comb part is to scrape of wax and to give the wax texture on his surf board. Is the shape of the diameter of the rod in the shape of a hexagon? If it is it is probably a "key" that is used to remove the skegs/fins (FCS) from his surfboard.

  3. Its a wax comb, used to refresh the wax on your surf board.

  4. I have a pair that came with a combo wax comb/bottle openener. Very handy.

  5. Ask him.

  6. Wax comb... nothing to worry about...

sometimes its a wax comb and a bottle opener all in one...

  7. i dont know, why dont you just ask him?
