What is in our best interest?

With so many people with so many differences, how can we decide what is in the best interest of all?

impartial knowledge.

knowing humanity, the human mind, and knowing how events affect those things. and knowing how actions of human beings affect both other human beings and the surrounding environment. and knowing this as far in the future as possible, and planning always for as far as knowledge can help us see, all the while increasing our knowledge in order to increase that distance.

truly for that to work though, you would either need the masses to have faith in those that know most, or have everybody know as much as humanity knows in those respects. neither of these are that incredibly likely though the former much more than the latter, just like not everybody knows how their car works but they trust those that make them to make a good car that won't explode and kill them, or fail. they trust mostly this way because of the system, ie.e capitalism, that companies seek profit and exploding customer killing cars is not profitable, so a similar system with the same effect would need to be installed as to assure the faith of people.

currently that system is democracy, but democracy doesn't find those that know best, it finds mostly yes men, and those that are experts on giving that illusion. politicians are knowledgeable at politics, not at the kind of knowing necessary to find what is in our best interest. they don't care what is in our best interest, just what's in theirs, and that is telling us what we want to hear, not what needs to be done or should be done, not what is best.
