What is included in a background check? ?

I was hired to work for an office and they are going to be conducting a background check on me? What does it consist of....?

I believe it consists of contacting the police to see if you have a record,and if you do ,what is it for and also they will contact your preveis employer and to check your references.good luck!

That depends on what they want to do...you have the legal right to get a copy of your report to see what's been done and an employer should have no problem telling you what they're going to do.  Background checks may consist of :
