  1. It`s a pyramid built by the aztec/mayan civilization....What`s so hard?...Or you want to know whats a pyramid?..Or you don`t know who were the Aztecs?...

  2. My 12 yr old son just did a report on these pyramids. He found out that they were used for religious purposes. People were sacrificed in them but they weren't buried in them. They have animals statues and a stone altar and clay bowls to give other offerings to their gods, like food & flower offerings.  The bodies of the sacrifices were sometimes eaten and the bones were buried outside the pyramids because they weren't holy people, like high priests.  That's all I know.

  3. depends on the pyramid.

Most pyramids were built on top of other older pyramids and really had nothing inside except for what ever was in the pyramid before them. The Rosalita Pyramid comes to mind.

Some were tombs that held kings or people of power.

Some were built to honor gods so they had sacrificial alters or places for the priests.

honestly what was "inside" the pyramid" depended on what it's purpose was and some times what was there before it.

  4. Passageways and stairs

  5. Some did have observatory... Others were like temples.

Some others say that they were the hiding place of the city treasures... We will never know as the conquistador did raid the cities from its gold and melted and send it to Spain by boats...
