What is inside the black box?

There is a black box in science class and I am so confused about what it is! All I know is that it has something to do with Syfering or something and I have no idea what that is? I am so confused about what is in this box! Please help me!

I dont quite understand your question, but if you are talking about the "blackbox" in an airplane, heres your explination:

it is really an ORANGE SPHERE, which simply records sound from inside the plane, incase of a crash, whoever finds it can turn it over to cops, and cops can listen to last moments of what happened before crash I.E: gunshot

It's not actually black it's orange, it contains data vital to the aircraft in question, the flight data  recorder, the cockpit voice recorder.
