  1. When you arrive at conclusion that is correct based on the inputs, but incorrect in reality because of flawed inputs.

    Alice's favorite color is blue.  Alice just bought a new car.  Alice's new car is probably blue.  That argument is sound.  But it would be invalid if Alice's favorite color was actually yellow.
