  1. The most important thing is the passion to teach children the most essential skills in life. Being a kindergarten or 1st grade teacher is an honor, because those are the important years of academic development. It is important to be college educated, first and foremost. With No Child Left Behind act it is a requirement that all teachers are highly qualified... which means a college degree and completion of local state requirements. Now of course with all jobs there are good and bad days! In the teaching profession if you truly love the children and teaching then even your bad days won't bother you at all. Simply put.. do your research and ask yourself this question... do I really have a passion and desire to teach and make a difference in a child's life?

  2. Depending on where you live there are different requirements
