I plan to marry a lady, who is a Canandian citizen, and a resident of Canada. What is involved in legally bringing her into the United States, to live with me as a permanent resident of the United States. Where do I start? Who has to be contacted? What paperwork has to be filled out? How long does this process take? Can she move in with me, as soon as we marry in the Fall, without concern of her not being able to legally live here? Any information on this matter is greatly appreciated, as I don't know where to begin. Thanks

  1. move to Canada free health care beside everything going up in America

  2. this is the inmigration services  website

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis

it give you all the steps and information  about how  to do it, , you can check the prices , paperwork, print the forms, etc.

also has a phone number to call and a email  if you need extra help or have questions.

my husband and i we used this site when he asked me as an alien relative, and now we live in usa and im a temporary resident,  and after 2 years i can apply  for the permanent resident

    good luck,.

  3. idk but i do no that anybody thats not a citizen has to take a class or somthing to become a permanent citizen in the united states and you do have to fill out paperworkbut maybe you shouldnt get married until you get this all straightened

  4. You need to contact the INS in order to get her a temporary visa. Then after a few years of you guys being married and her being here you guys can potentially file for permanant status.

  5. You have to contact Immigration's and apply for a green card. You can get married here and then fill it out or vice versa.

  6. Contact the local U.S. embassy and start a Visa application, have her fill it out, then file it, you should have no problem from there.

  7. Maybe try contacting the immigration department?

  8. smuggle her in with your luggage.

  9. If you are a US citizen you will file Forms I-129F, I-864 and G-325A with the USCIS.  You can find them here.....

It will take about 6 to 9 months for her to get her visa.  After she gets her visa she can move here and you have 90 days to get married.  After you get married she must file Forms I-485, I-765 and I-131 with the USCIS.

  12. Immigration.

If you have already proposed, do everything under a fiance visa... that way you won't be accused of fraud and you won't have to file for a change of status later.

The process can take forever, depends on how immigration is doing.

Contact an immigration lawyer, they can speed up the process.

Marriage does not legally protect her if she comes in illegally.

Start with an immigration lawyer, it isn't that hard.
