  4. Pulling out, driving, steering, indicating, braking, accelerating(progress), pulling up, 3 point turn, reversing around a corner, visual awareness and understanding the controls inside Your vehicle, right down to clearing a steamy window. These days I think they have You open up the bonnet too.

  5. Hello,

The Practical driving test is difficult and no person will pass it without the support of a qualified instructor (usually).

    - Moving off safely

    - Stopping safely

    - Roundabouts

    - Controlled emergency stop

    - frequent mirror checks. (MSM)

    - Reversing around a corner

    - Turn in the road (3 point)

    - Dual carriageways [according to my instructor]

    - Town driving

    - Show me, tell me

The show me, tell me section is where you will demonstrate to the examiner how to check the oil level, you open the frontal bonet and point out, but you won't be asked to actually do it. (you don't want to go home covered in oil after all)

There are 3 types of faults:

Minor fault - acceptable (you are allowed 15)

    Serious fault - instant fail

    Dangerous fault - instant fail

The examiner will be observing your driving behaviour closely and writing down on the score sheet what faults you commit, if any.

Pass : No serious or dangerous faults, 15 Minors allowed.

Fail : Any serious or dangerous faults, 16 Minors (or more)

    Good Luck for your test
