What is involved when taking a motorbike CBT test ?

i want to know weather i have to do a theaory test

No all you do is ride around there car park in the morning doing different things like breaking in and out of cones then in the afternoon you go out on the road with instructor and a couple of others.It last until about 4 pm its a good day out good luck

You only need the DSA theory test if you are going to take a practical test for a category A license(big bike or 125 test), you can keep renewwing your CBT every two years and not worry about it, the CBT will take about 6-8 hours to get and you only need a provisional license to get it

Most of it is off road riding around cones, emergency stops  etc then you have a ride out followed by your instructor for an assessment.

Once you are passed you can ride on the road on your own with L plates.

You don't need to do theory before CBT but you need to do it before your test if you want to upgrade to a full licence.

Its good fun and invaluable from a safety point of view.

the cbt is what you need to get on the road to start with, it involves a full day, with a bit of theory and then a practical section where you are taken out into traffic with an instructor.

the theory test you are thinking about is what you have to pass before you take your practical bike test, which you usually have to take within 2 years of getting your provisional bike license.

cbt is basic road knolage,it even helps if you ride a push bike...yes you also have to do the  written test

You have to do a theory test as well: The CBT is basically about simple knowledge, safety, equipment, starting, everyday maintenance & the simple ability to start, stop & make the bike go in a straight line & round corners. There's a bit of theory & a bit of practical, but it's completely seperate to the written theory test.
