What is is an empirical research paper?

How can I find a report that is published in a primary journal published in a journal of sociology.

Go to a library.  An academic library would have them.  An empirical research paper is a paper on an hypothesis with the test and data of that hypothesis.

Empirical research is observation based research (either direct or indirect) based on a hypotheses.  You can find such articles in JSTOR, EBSCO search, Academic Search Premier, etc. at any university or public library.  In my experience, JSTOR is the best.
