  1. An isobar are things on a weather map that separates pressure by fixed amounts. Such as 40, then 50, then 60, etc.

And, if you want to know, and Isotherm separates temperature using the same method.

  2. Isobars are lines on a weather map that indicate areas of equal air pressure. Usually, the closer the lines are together, the windier it is because there is a large difference in pressure over a small area. I believe it does this because it causes greater friction, which cause the wind to accelerate faster in these areas.

  4. An isobar is a line of constant atmospheric pressure.Surface isobars are based on pressure readings corrected to a common level

(by reducing to sea level usually).Such isobars drawn at intervals of one millibar or more indicate weather systems like low and high pressure areas, trough, col, ridge etc.
