What is it? It looks like a superstitious head thing.?

So I have this random thing in my room that I guess is supposed to be a head. It's head is basically a wooden ball with two big holes for it's eyes and strings of beads coming from its mouth and lot of long black and brown feathers coming from it's head. Well, my sister and my friend find it really creepy looking but I think it looks like some sort of superstitious thing. I've seen a lot of people with it hanging from their rear view mirrors so I'm curious about whether there is any meaning to having them or not.

yeah, its a hawaiian warrior helmet.  my friend has one of those too, he has told me that they are for protection.

Sounds like the Hawaiian warrior helmet.  No real spiritual significance, just a nod to a damaged culture.
