  1. For me personally, I know Zab Judah still possesses the physical ability to still be a threat in his division. His mental game is his only weakness, really. Anyway, when Zab is on point he can be exciting. Even when he is not on point he can still be exciting to watch in a losing effort. Examples of excitement in losing effort with be his fights against Kostya Tzysu, Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto.

  2. this right here...(Check out the link!!) Viva Kostya Tszyu!  Funny Stuff

  3. unlike floyd hes style is entertaining

  4. Dont think its for his boxing ability anymore, although he is good fighter he has always fallen short at the very top level. I think maybe the unpredictability of his fights and his crazy dad! And he also has a good support in new york. Only two reasons i could think of.

  5. Zab flew off the deep end.  At one point he was one of the finest young boxers I had ever seen and then, BAM...KOSTA TIME BABY.  After that madness (attacking the referee) he just became a little Tyson.  People stopped watching him because of his ability and started watching because he was unpredictabe.  KOSTA TIME BABY!

  6. He's a head case.  He is unpredictable, but he has one thing that tyson didn't when Tyson lost his marbles- the ability to be competitive.  Judah was never going to sit atop the p4p rankings, but you know every time he fights, he's as likely to win as he is to do something absolutely crazy.

He no longer has the skills that he once did, but he is still good enough to put on a show.  I hope that makes sense.

  7. You are not alone.  There are many who still like to watch him fight to this day.  Here are a few of the reasons why:

Hope- Zab Judah is extremely talented and possesses more God-given ability than most boxers would ever hope to have.  The problem is that he can't focus.  Pernell Whitaker was asked which current boxer he thought was closest to him in his prime, and he said- "When Zab Judah is focused, I think he is the closest out there to matching me."  There will always be that hope that Zab can grow up and accomplish what he is so capable of.

Uncertainty- You never know which Zab will show up.  Will it be the one who lost to Carlos Baldomir in a fight that he shoud have easily won?  Or, will it be the Zab who knocked out Cory Spinks in their rematch?  He had the ability to easily beat Kostya Tszyu and Baldomir, but he couldn't because he wasn't focused.  If you've seen both of his fights against Cory Spinks, then you will see first hand, the difference between a focused and non-focused Zab Judah.

Controversy- He has consistently been involved in controversial acts in and out of the ring, and as a result, the spotlight stays on him even if he is on a losing streak.  He has been accused of getting into street fights outside the ring, and inside the ring, he has resorted to "street tactics" when things aren't going his way: he threw a chair at referee Jay Nady after Kostya Tszyu TKO'd him, and he started a near-riot after he nutpunched and rabbit punched Floyd Mayweather, Jr. purposefully in their fight.  People will always want to watch him to see his next move- as bad as Zab's tactics are, they draw fans.

Appeal- Zab crossed over to the mainstream a while back.  Years ago, and even to this day, he can be seen in rap videos flashing his grill and his bling.  He's a dude from the mean streets of Brooklyn who made it as a (former) world champion boxer.  When people from the ghettos see that, they identify with him because he represents them through what he does, whether its in boxing, or being in music videos.

Entertainment- I cannot think of a boring Zab Judah fight- I have enjoyed every fight that I have seen him in.  Cory Spinks is one of the most boring fighters on the planet, but BOTH of his fights against Zab Judah were very entertaining.  Even if he is taking a beating, like he was against Mayweather or Miguel Cotto, he is always game until the end and the fight is always entertaining (even if it is a bit one-sided).

  8. ive never been a big fan of judah ,but he is a real talented fighter but just falls short against the great ones. i dont mind watching judah because you know he has the talent and wants very badly to win and he gives his all and has an explosive exciting style. he has been losing lately but only relatively close losses to the best around.
