What is it about a cold beer on a hot day...?

I heard a lot of men say that they would like nothing better than to relax with a cold beer on a hot day....what is so appealing of a cold beer---what is so appealing of a beer?

Its refreshing, mellows us guys out, and allows us to relax and forget about the problems of life.  Beer does for us what chocolate does for you girls.

I don't drink beer but I think it's just like having a nice, cold, lemonade, but a beer instead. It's really refreshing and I guess the person likes beer more than lemonade.

not only men but women too also enjoy an ice cold beer on a hot day, for some reason it is so refreshing....i am not really a beer drinker, but it just tastes so good especially ice cold out of a cooler....i can go for one now

It tastes nice. on a hot day one naturally wants to cool down. hence the cool aspect. and beer is generally something you drink when you don;t have to go anywhere or do any work. so drinking cold beer on a hot day is a nice thought.

i preferr cider myself, since you can drink it with ice in it.

but really drinking beer on a hot day is one of the bad choices because alcohol dehydrates your body, sometimes causing them to drink more and more
