  1. havn't u seen heath ledger as the joker?

    nuff said!

  2. I'm scared of the exaggerated humor and the lack of discernable, recognizable facial expressions.  Because of all the makeup, they have to use greatly exaggerated smiles to convey humor, which approaches the rictus grin of a corpse, a resemblance which is magnified by the the ghostly white makeup.  Also, clown performers tend to come way too close to my personal space when they are performing, and they use greatly exaggerated motions which I find more threatening when they are so close instead of humorous, as it is supposed to be.  The imagery that they are trying to convey just fails to be humorous to me, and it instead pushes all the wrong buttons and scares the **** out of me.  I suspect it's some sort of genetic wiring that makes such a significant part of the human population immune to clown humor.

    Also, they're freaking scary.

  3. I often find myself asking the same question. Clowns are loveable creatures born only to bring joy and laughter into our lives. They offer us a security blanket in an unsecure world. They turn are frowns upside down. There is absolutely nothing that people should fear about these clowns from their marshmallow hearts to their squeaky rubber noses. Those who fear clowns have unresolved issues in  areas that should bring them happiness. I think their only cure is to hug a clown. Hope this helps!

  4. Not scared at all.  I always found clowns to be lame and never funny.

Except Flunky the clown on Letterman years back.

  5. they like touching little kids

  6. look at them, they just are scary with all there makeup and big red noses and the shoes and one more yea the suit they wear ahhhhh!!!!!

  7. The Movie "It"

  8. they like little kids.

  9. It's not really those circus clowns that scare me, but sometimes pictures and even figurines look so distorted that the person looks less like "bozo" and more like "the Joker"

  10. Great question Leona.  I don't like the fact that  by using makeup and costumes they are portraying an image of something they are not.  I also don't like the fact that they enjoy scaring little kids.

  11. People are generally afraid of clowns

because the face they wear, 'masks'

    their true face underneath.

Also, it probably didn't help people

to like clowns any better, when it

    was discovered that serial killer,

John Wayne Gacy used to dress up as a clown.

  12. The bright, massive makeup kind of scares me. It's like someone was trying to look hot, but applied their makeup in the dark.

  13. ever seen the movie " IT " by stephen king?

you should watch it then you would get the

    picture.

  14. Clowns are just . . wrong . .

Kind of like guys who think they are cool by wearing their pants halfway down.

  19. Its gotta be the John Wayne Gacy connection...that and  Stephen King's IT. They just creep my out ***shudders***

My apt manager is a clown....she probably eats little kids...ugh.

  20. I think it's there giant C-cks. I mean i love sucking clown c9-ck.

  21. The fact that they were so much make up and go creeping at little kids birthday patties and some can be weirdos.... o.o You know, there was a killer who was a clown and scoped out kids at their parties. Uggg everything bout them scares me. From their nose to their giant feet :P

  22. The fact that they look creepy does it for me and also because I've seen the movie IT quite a few times.

But I don't know clowns have always freaked me out.

  23. i guess that they have that huge smile painted on their face that never goes away and how they tried to make you like them by doing funny stupid stuff idk theres different reasons

  24. I asked my sister this once... She said that alot of people have bad experiences with clowns (lost at carnival, heavily make-upped dude pops up out of nowhere), and that babies interpret people's emotions by their face. Clowns wear alot of make-up and smile all the time... I guess that feaks them out?
