What is it about our instincts that lets us know when a creep is near?

Your instincts usually are right if a person makes your skin crawl....why is this?

Do you ever interact with people like this and have it confirmed? Why do you still interact?

  1. The Mrs is right about the subtle non-verbal cues we all receive, subconsciously, that alert us to 'danger'. Not just in people but in other situations, too ~ when we hear a sound that is 'wrong' or a tone of voice that says 'look out'.

BUT, having said that, 'first impressions' are NOT always correct.

A lot depends on the circumstances and situation.

I've found that if I meet someone in a social setting and develop a bit of an aversion, it's good to meet them a few more times in various situations before making a decision about them.

People aren't always at their best and I'd hesitate to label someone a 'creep' on a single meeting.

However, if I come across someone who behaves 'creepily' (according to my own judgement of what that means) in any situation where I am vulnerable, or another person is, that's the line, and it's almost impossible for me to change my mind about them afterwards.

It's NOT always fair, but then ~ life isn't always.

    Cheers :-)

  2. Because, of their phisical appearance. It may seem crazy, but its true. Life is very atmospherical. We see it with our eyes and then we just know. Almost all sociopaths have a distinctive physical appearance, or even physical feature, to let us know.

  3. idk...  i think its my gardien angle looking out for me...  whenever i get that feeling not to trust some 1... my feeling ALWAYS turns out right...  i lerned now to always lisen to my gardien angle...

  4. It actually is not instincts.  Our brain subconsciously registers mannerisms, body language and voice tone that link into "creepyness"....or whatever it is you are registering about a person.

Look up studies on intuition and this is what you are likely to find.  For some reason women tend to be better at this than men.  I tend to be right about 95% of the time.

  5. everyone knows whens somethings not right.

    you know it.

lets say your at a place and the way it seems, where its at, if its empty if its not, the people around it, suspision starts to kick in. you know somthing doesnt feel right. then thats when your instincts tell you "im not supposed to be here'

then thats when something bad happens. idk we just know it.

  6. There's definitely a look in their eyes that lets you know all is not right. I have luckily, never taken a man (not all men are creeps I know) up on his offer to help or to go out when I got that feeling....who knows. They also have a certain tilt of their head and a strange body language. It's the one's like Ted Bundy (who don't have those affectations) that we need to worry about.

  7. Do you mean a female misandrist creep or just any old 'creep'?

I'll bet you're just rarin' to use the word 'jerk' too, aren't you?

  8. Yes I have interacted with people like this. I think you just "know" you know? lol It's something inside that doesnt feel right. it's your body's and mind's way of telling you this person means you no good. It is a phenomenon that cannot be explained. And one reason why I still interact because I either know them...or I'm related to them. lol
