What is it called when a Hamster and a Gerbal is mixed togeather in the same breed?

Im getting one and my friend wants to know what they look like and how big they get. And i was looking on google images and i couldnt think of what they were called.

It is called one dead gerbil, because not only can the two species NOT breed together, but a hamster will kill any gerbil put in with it. SO no, you are not getting one. You are getting either a hamster or a gerbil that someone is calling a mix, but they can not interbreed

Gerbils and hamsters are two different species, they can't have offspring.. I don't really know what you are getting, but I'm sure it's not a hamster/gerbil mix. If someone is telling you that, they're trying to scam you.

i am sorry but whatever you are getting is not a hamster gerbil mix dwarf hamsters cant even breed with a different species of dwarf hamsters figure it out when you see it or dont even buy it because that person either does not know what he is talking about or is trying to sell them for extra money Good Luck!!

they cant reproduce together...It is true that they are both rodents but the idea of a hamster and a gerbil reproducing is the same as the idea of a rabbit and a ferret reproducing. Ferrets and rabbits are rodents too but the idea is just weird...maybe you should do some reasearch on what your really getting...-_-

I didn't think so. Hamsters and gerbils are both rodents, they're both around the same size, they eat the same or similar foods. But they're two different species. There is no way they can breed, so I'm not exactly sure how you're getting one. If they're real, and on google, then why are you asking us what they are? Wouldn't it be easier to just google them again? Please remember everything you see on the computer isn't real. But I'm being completely serious when I say there's no such thing as a hamster/gerbil cross.

Um... Hi! I dont know if this is half gerbil half hamster but definatley part gerbil. If it is it might be a shaw's jird! And if any body thunmbs down me because they dont believe that this can happen, look at these websites. Iont know if this is it but it might be!
