  1. I don't think there's really a term for it.

Falling gracefully isn't something that you can really get tips on, but practice these falls and it'll be more and more natural for you.

  2. In bellydancing at least, it is referred to as a Turkish drop.  This is an extremely dangerous movement to perform even for an experienced professional because it is very easy to injure the wrist, elbow, knees, and worst of all the neck and head.  In order to do this movment properly you must have extremely strong abdominals and thighs.  If you do not you will get halfway into the drop and simply collapse and/or you will not be able to get back up (at least not gracefully).  To strengthen your thighs I'd recommend sitting on your heels and then raising yourself up to your knees and back down again.  Doing this just a few times slowly wil probably make your thighs sore.  Do as many as you can every day or every other day until you can do many without pain.  For strengthening your abdominals just go with the traditional crunches.  When your strong enough then you are ready to attempt the movement.  After that you can start practicing it in slow motion instead of re-writing things I'll give this link to my site:

Also search for "Turkish Drop" on Google and you will find other sites with descriptions and discussions.  I don't recommend doing this move unless you have an instructor train you how to do it.

As for getting back up if your abdominals are strong enough you will be able to pull yourself back up.  If not or if they have become too exauhsted from the process of the Turkish Drop then a somewhat gracefull way to get to a kneeling position is to swing your upper body around to one side or the other until you are prostrate on the floor.  Then just lift your upper body back up.

Here are a couple video's from you tube if you want to try and disect it.  Some key factors to note: 1. Turkish Drop's almost always follow spinning. 2. There is generally a slightly jump or hop before the dancer drops.

There are many, many more but just a few to get you started.

  3. oops!!!!, or just a fall.  The only real way to get gracefull at anything in dance is practice and lessons

  4. Heart Attack?

    Stage Fright?

    Shock?

  5. there is really no name for it you can make it graceful by doing a leap and gently coming down

  6. Make sure it is  performed as a natural outcome of the first movement. As for terms, perhaps it is described as a "collapse" to the ground. It does add interest and variety to a routine.
