What is it called when a person wants to have a disorder/disease?

what is it called when a person want to have a certain disorder/ condition? I know there is a medical term for it but i can remember it right now. my friend want to be epileptic/ have tourette's. can anyone give me the medical term for this, or just your opinions. thanks, i appreciate it!

Your friend really needs to seek medical help. To want to have these  or any disease for that sake is not normal. Get her to a Doctor and ask for a referral for psychiatric help

Munchausen syndrome, Munchausen's by proxy is when a parent or guardian intentionally causes illness or projects illness onto another. Munchausen's is when a person intentionally causes illness in themselves. Or you could be talking about hypochondria.
