  1. Focusing to far out on my Sony will do it.

Low light will also do it due to the long shutter speed

  2. Hi Jomann.    I think I know what you mean.  Let's see.  What you are doing is focusing in on your your subject and pressing the shutter button to take the picture but then in the viewfinder, you look at it and it is all blurry?  That right?  If it is what I am thinking,  it is called shutter lag and it happens with all point and shoot digital camera.  It's like...  you want to take a picture of your dog and you shoot off the picture but he has either turned his head or completely left the room before the camera actually takes the pic.  There is a solution.  Try this.  Find your subject in the screen or viewfinder and before you actually take the picture,  lightly press the shutter button just half way... don't actually press it all the way.  You will then be locking in the focus.  When it is locked in, press all the way down and the camera will immediately take the picture.   PIcture will not be blurry.   What happens when you press the shutter button all the way down at one time to take a picture,  the camera must take a second to focus in and neither you or the subject is ready for that...  thus movement can happen in between you pressing and the camera focusing and taking the picture.  Again, this is called ..Shutter lag.  I don't know if that is what is happening, but it is something that will cause blurry pics.  Hope that helps.  :))

  3. im not sure what you mean

but there is image stabilisation on all but the cheapest of cameras now and most will take a perfectly good picture even with a little movement

  4. I understand what you are trying to say.  I have this same experience as well.

Your camera skills will improve as time goes by and there is nothing wrong with the camera if your camera is a well known brand.
