Like, you think back on a memory, and even though parts of it were bad, you think of it as a lot better than it actually was and block out the bad parts.

  1. It's called looking at life through rose coloured glasses.

  2. It's called selective memory; when your subconscious mind intentionally blocks out the bad things you've experienced and only lets you remember the good ones.

  3. good old selective memory think about it why would you want to remember the bad bit it is much nicer to remember the nice bits

  4. Melancholy... no, no... Nostalgia! Or better: Optimism! =D

    Just messin' with ya...

They're just blocked memories. It's something that your brain refuses to remember due to certain unfortunate events. But they sometimes appear in your dreams. They can also be discovered through hypnosis.

My advice would be to forget the fact that you've lost the "bad part" of your memories, UNLESS they're really giving you a hard time, like lack of sleep, nightmares, or huge stress and frustration. Blocked bad memories usually help you to look forward... and I strongly recommend that you do the same! Look towards the future with confidence and forget the past! No matter what happened in the past, you should always keep going and live your life to the fullest!

There was a quote in a movie that said "we should just do whatever we can to live the best way we can, until our true destiny is revealed or we die" :))

  5. Protecting yourself for some reason.

  6. This theory may not be true.U can remember the things that give u very deep impression. like for example u won the first for the Olympics games, etc. in other word, yr mind actually remember events that carved a deep impression of what has happened.
