  1. Wow so many answers

Know your type then be yourself

  2. don't try to be something you not they can tell act as if you dont care about the audition that the best confident trick

  3. It's good to see a voice coach.

It also varies depending if it's a musical or a straight play.

Either way, projection is number one.

Power your voice all the way to the back row without shouting.

You need to prepare a monologue(usually 2 minutes) that is in the style of the character you are playing.

For a musical you need a song and sheet music for the pianist.

  4. Awesome Im in all the plays and talent shows its just awesome toa dudition for anything.

  5. General audition:

Lots of waiting around. Take some lines and a book to read and write in - you can make some good friends.

    Private audition / second audition:

Less waiting around, normally given a specific piece to study.

    Techniques:

    Read plays.

    Imagine being the character.

    Memorise the lines.

    Make them your own.

See if you can convince yourself you just thought of the words you say, just before it leaves your mouth.

Remember your body is part of an actors professional toolkit.

  6. going for an audition is joining a competition like dance competition, singing and sports. Good techniques are:

    1. you are supposed to have confidence

2.you have to be good in the audition you are going to join (ex:badminton tournament-you know the rules, concept of the game and you are good in playing the game)

    3.do not cheat

4.don't play safe- it's not good playing safe especially when you're on television

5.respect your defeat-if ever you lose always accept your defeat

6.socialize-get to know other people joining the competition

7.enjoy!-enjoy your game even if you lose you tried your best at least you tried!

  7. Auditions for what?

and uh, just be yourself - so cliche' - but so true.

If you're having a bad day don't let it show, and don't walk around like you don't care or you rule the world.

Just chillll, and relax and stuff. I love auditioning - for anything :)

  8. okay auditioning is a little scary at first, but you get used to it. the mains things when auditioning are to stay calm and have fun!! if its for a play or comedy of some sort ALWAYS have a smile in your face, and try to be funny. you have to impress the judges. make sure to look them into their eyes as you audition! but yeah, it's really not that scary, just eat a banana before you go on. (it's a "theatre thing") it's supposed to make you not nervous. if u need any more tips or anything at all about theatre, music, or basically any of the arts,  just email mee! =]

  9. going for an audiotion is usually quite nerve wracking. make sure you have practised what you are performing heaps of times before you do it in front of the jiudges. practise in front of friends and family so you know what its like to have someone watching you. try and stay calm and confident, and dont freak out.

remember to smile while you are onstage (unless you arent supposed to be smiling!)

    most of all have fun

    and good luck!

  10. ok a good clean appreance...and a big smile make sure youre teeth are at their brightest if you want to act ect..1st they look at youre face and then the rest =)

p.s it worked 4 me when i tryed out for GUESS by Marciano...modeling =)

  11. I've been to plenty of auditions , and it's pretty hard.... sometimes there's a lot of pressure because the director/agent is looking at you so hard, but you need to ignore that. Go in smiling and prepared. PREPARED is the key; you need to know EXACTLY what you're going to say/do. Always act confident, even if you aren't. Don't act like 'oh, yeah, there might be someone out there better than me...i guess...'. Act like ' No, I am the best. You need me.'

Good luck at whatever you're auditioning for :]

  12. Exciting!  I've been on both sides of the process.  Remember, they really want you to succeed when they are watching you.  If you find yourself fidgeting or having a hard time being present, try putting a penny in your shoe - it will help you stay still and keep you in the moment.

  13. when you go on an audition there all different.. sometimes you might need to memerize your own monoluge and sometimes when you get there they will give you something to read and you'll do a cold reading.. your sometimes in front of a camera and sometimes not...

    good techniques are be confident..

    always SMILE :)

    know your material

know about who your auditioning for and what part your auditioning for

wear the appropriate clothes (causal, nice, etc)

know what your going to say if they ask you questions like

tell us about yourself, do you have any hobbies.. make sure your answer is unique.. don't hesitate.

  14. be confident :)

    & also be prepared..good luck!! :]

  15. well i dont know how it would be like how it would feel.. but i could say to make sure you get the part make sure you stand out out of everyone and make sure you do the bst

  16. Make sure you wear a smile!! : ]

  17. If your funny and like to eat pie you should be fine

  18. no

  19. Have a monologue prepared! I can't tell you how many times I was asked to do a selection of my own choice.

Put your heart into it. Rehearse it for the rest of your acting life.
