What is it like in England for a 16 year old?

I'm 16 and really want to know what it would be like living in England. Please explain it to me if you live there and am my age or know what that generation does in England.

Parties? Jobs? etc.

England has many events. Depends what kind of things your into. We hold many events from small village ones to massive country celebrations. And with London now being the new Olympic village there will be a lot more going on in the next 4 years.

You can get a job in the UK at your age, in fact people who don't go on to college usually start full time work at this point.

If you are from America some of the age limits for certain things will have changed. For example in the UK at 16 you can not legally smoke or drink (age 18) You cannot learn to drive until the age of 17.

Legally though at 16 you can buy a lottery ticket and have sexual intercourse (sorry i didn't want to put that but its true, its the law).

Englands not as bad as people make out. The weather may not be great but you get use to that after a while. Hope you have a great time here:)

I'm 13 and live in England, but my sister's 16. We have quite a lot of cool things, like music festivals, London...

Parties, there are a lot of nightclubs in London if you go to the right place, but you have to be 18. I don't know much about other parties, cos my sister's not exactly the social type

Jobs, most 16 year olds work down at the supermarket or mcdonalds, or baby sitting

Living in England is okay if you like cold weather.  We rarely get sunshine.

There are many jobs and events that you can go to.

It's really nice here, but I would prefer to live somewhere else though as we hardly ever get full summers.
