What is it like in Great Britain, living under a monarchy?

I live in the United States and am just curious.

I am from there.  Not a lot of difference between the two.  It's not an absolute monarchy, so parlimentary procedure and that is still in play.  

The queen and her ilk are just tourist pap nowadays.

i agree with the statements already made. They're kind of a national living soap opera. it's a shame.

its ok my cousin been to the palace for a obe and some garden partys and he says princess annie is really funny  and down to earth

when i see the pom of royal occasions i feel proud to be britsh

The monarchy don't really do much. They're just like a tourist attraction. So pretty much the same as living in a country without a monarchy I guess.
