  1. I live in Guanajuato, but im not sure if you mean the state, or the city(inside of the same state), i live in Guanajuato, Gto. The weather is fine, it isn't to big like 150,000 people, yet it's one of the most populated states with almost 5 million people, it's a colonial city, very beutiful and patrimony of the humanity according to UNESCO, colorfull and has many tourists from abroad  and inside the country, it's close enough to Mexico city (about 4 and a hlaf hours by car) and from Guadalajara ( about 3 and ahalf) so it's not far from many important places, the city its a little cramped cause the houses were built in the mountains so now you have thousands of alleys all over the city, and has an underground system of streets wich connect many places of the city, if you need more specific info, you can email me =)

    regards

  2. I have also a toddler son, we live in Guanajuato City.... it is a safe place for kids and your family, I'm from MX city, so, if you live in a big city, you will need to get used to live in Guanajuato, since there is lack of some 'big city' services, such as WalMart and stuffs like that, but as reward you will id that people here really enjoy their family and friends, and there are still core values on the society that you don't see anymore in big cities.....Good Luck!

  3. i like guanajuato a lot.  if you are from a big city, it's going to be an adjustment for you.  a big one.  and your son really needs to attend private school.  but you can make it.  my guy is from mexico and i would move their by choice, it's fantastic, but it's not for everyone.

  4. hey, i also live in Guanajuato, pretty cool.

Well it is a small colonial town with many attractions. Pipila, la Alhondiga de granaditos, teatro Juarez, Plaza Principal, Mummies of gto. catedral, Minerías, Pozuelos, Presa de la Olla, the mines, castillo de Santa Cecilia, guanajuato Grill, La Peña Bohemia, El pequeño Juan, Los pastitos, etc.

You can also travel around to San Miguel, Dolores, Leon, Sierra de Santa Rosa.

It is pretty cool and people are very nice.
