  1. I lived there for a year back when it was cheaper. the exchange rate isn't good now, at least 75 cents to the Euro.  I found an apartment on http://www.lodgis.com/ and lived in Pigalle.  Not as nice an area, but reasonable and interesting.  I took language courses at Accord school in the 11th, and walked everywhere.  Don't expect Parisians to be friendly at first, and make an effort to speak the language.  Be smart about living in a big city, don't flash money or other things when walking around (lots of pick pockets) and get a cell phone the minute you get off the plane.  Learn to look around for deals as prices can vary block to block for food, liquor, and clothes.  Learn the metro right away as well.  Be patient and thick skinned, and don't get to serious about relationships as they are very ephemeral.

  2. Living in Paris is exceptional.  The city, the history, the passion that people have for life.  All good.  It is very expensive; but by the time you are ready to go & live there, the economy may change.

  3. it is sooo cool smells like Italian pizza

the prices r really high....................................... OK I've never been there.
