  2. eye opening....

it makes you realize that freedom doesnt only exist here, and that there are many ways of life as good or better than our own.  It also enriches your culture, understanding and love for your own and other heritages.

  3. i cnt wait to leave the western world and see the other side of life....

  4. It is unbelievable.  Every country has its own culture which if you respect theirs, they certainly respect you!  We have always been treated very well in every country that we have been a guest in.

Our favorite places have all been in Asia.  India, China, Malasia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.  There are sights in these wonderful countries that certainly are mindblowing.  Many of the people are quite poor but are so friendly and would surely offer you their last meal for a smile.  Many tourists complain of being harassed by the folk but they are just earning a living by selling their wares in any way that they know how.  I would rather buy cheap necklaces that I did not really want or need or cards etc from these sellers than give freely to beggers who are wearing perfectly expensive shoes and clearly earn a bomb at it.

Its fun also to try to say a few words in their native language.  Most of these countries speak English as their main language as is is universally recognised so you would not really come unstuck.

Europe is an excellent starting place and there are lots of fun places to see.

  5. It is amazing.

I have been all over Western Europe and enjoyed every minute of it.

If you want to travel for free, you may want to consider teaching English as a second language. They send people to Asia all the time. I'm leaving for Korea soon and they're paying for my flight, my housing, and a nice salary as well.

So in short, it's amazing to travel the world. Do it. Nothing is stopping you.

  6. Oh, I hope I can someday ....... finding out about other cultures ....... tasting all of the different styles of food ........ seeing all of the types of art and music on the world ........ those experiences would be breathtaking ...... now only if I had my own private jet and lots of money to make it happen ........ = )
