  1. I think the UK is far better than Australia for  overseas students. The society is much more mature, fairer and   multicultural and philosophically much more advanced. People are much less judgemental.

I had positive experiences and never suffered from  racism whilst studying in the UK. You will be able to learn better English, too whereas I had a nightmare at a college in Sydney  where lecturers and students didn't mind expressing racially motivated ignorant opinions in your face.

I heard similar opinions from other Asian people.

  2. well i've been a international student before at melbourne and i can't say i've had a bad experience living there. It was an enriching experience. I loved it so much that i applied for PR to iive in Australia :)

"Begin with the end in mind"

Live a life that allows you to embrace new experiences/opportunities and challenges you to find your true potential.

That's what i always kept telling myself each time i felt a feeling of uncertainty while studying/living there.

    Gd luck!

  3. - Sydney and Australia in general is a very multicultural city/country.

    - Australia's being its close proximity to Asian countries make it lots of Asian international students coming to Australia.

    - I'm asian and used to be an international student myself, spoke little/no English, was in highschool and there're only 3 asians in my whole school and I had no problems at all with adjusting to my life.

    - There're a lot of Asian students and International students society. I've made a lot of fellow Asian friends as well as local students (other ethnics who're born and grow up in Australia as well as local caucasian)

    - you can get most Asian food in lots of the many good asian restaurants in Sydney (yumcha is as good as the one in Hongkong), most Asian groceries.

    - You'll have a good time studying in Australia, I can assure you. I love Australia the moment I landed and now I'm a proud Australian and wouldn't live anywhere else in the world.

  4. They say it's not a big deal, but I've seen it rough from people I've talked to. Asian guys are trashed on all the time. Since before WWII when they had c**p spewed at them. I don't know yo. I think they are just racists but I've been told that they aren't and things have changed.
