  1. Love is just the pleasant interlude between meeting someone and finding out she's cheated on you.

  2. To be in love is love, a beautiful feeling and to remain in that state is to practice it regularly.

  3. It will be the first day of your life

  4. sticky.

  5. For starters, being in love means:

(when you are not with them):

you can't eat or sleep well 'cause they're on your mind so much

you go through the day wondering how they are, where they are, and when you'll see them again

you think of a thousand things you'd like to say but never can get the words out when you're with them!

being apart just makes you feel empty and not happy at all, something is missing.

    (when you are with them):

your eyes light up and you're smiling more than usual. The world is magical in those moments when you are together. That's puppy love in full bloom.  ;- )

you forget what you're saying 'cause you are a bit frazzled just being near them

it's a day you'll always remember and you probably will!

    (serious stuff):

you know it's true love when you'd sacrifice your safety for theirs because you want to protect them

you want only their happiness more than your own

Shall I go on? I think this is enough for a start.

  6. Don't feel stupid, I didn't know what it was for a long time...

Being in love with the person you're with is a feeling that's unconditional...it's not based on wanting to change the other person or, getting them to drop most of their habits that get us annoyed.

You don't want to tell them how to act or what to feel towards something, or tell you you're right and that they'll always agree when they don't.

You don't love them less because you were both yelling so loudly that your voice is now hoarse, it's still there regardless of good or bad...and it's as deep when they aren't around as when they are.

When you really love someone, it's not selfish, it doesn't make you crazy, or depressed, or feel lonely and tearful. It doesn't consume you with feeling of anxiety and uneasiness. It's comforting to know that the little time you do spend counts, and even their quirky habits don't faze you. You wouldn't change it for the world...and if something should happen between the two of you and you aren't together anymore, you still love them....

Make sense? I'm still looking to feel that with someone myself, but that's what I know it is....

And any couple who has lasted until they were old and grey will tell you they had to work at it everyday...

  7. When you feel like a moth moving towards a fire (love) knowingly that it will for sure burn you down.

  8. Which "love" do you mean?  English encapsulates dozens of different emotions with this one word.

Do you mean the passionate love that you experience early in a relationship where you view your partner as a perfect being who can do no wrong?  Do you mean the affectionate love you hold for someone you find endearing?  Do you mean the compassionate love you feel when you just want to make the other person happy?  Do you mean the comfortable love when you've been with someone so long that just feeling their nearness is more than enough?

Hollywood tends to idolise the first kind and, once that fades, we tend to feel like we're doing something wrong.  That's not necessarily true.

I don't think it's useful to ask yourself "Am I in love?".  It's more useful to ask "how do I feel towards this person?" and "do I enjoy feeling that way?".

  9. how do you not know? And if you really want to know well all i can say is sometimes it can be wonderful but other times it can be awful

  10. hard question.

i don't think you can point a certain moment when you fell in love, i think it happens without you realizing it and being able to do anything about it.

but it definitely the best feeling in the world. it makes you see life differently, it changes your perspective because you see life as something better.

(i think you cant really define love, it has different meanings to everyone.)

it also makes you stupid in every way you can think. you forget that this person is human and has faults
